PatientSafe clients are responding to the emerging needs
of COVID-19 by rapidly expanding user base access and
engagement with the PatientTouch application.
PatientTouch provides the flexibility to assign
organizational units with varying levels of clinical data
access. Typically, users are clinical in nature and have
access to complete Patient Lists for the purposes of
assignment or to for visibility to a patient's care team.
USE CASE
Environmental Service (EVS) team members are
at the forefront of inpatient response to COVID-19
needs. This group, and others like it, can be added
quickly to PatientTouch via Active Directory mapping
and identified as "Directory Access only". This allows
members of the EVS team, via shared devices, BYOD
devices, or Web Messenger, to:
• View the entire organization's contact directory
• Initiate and send secure text messages to individuals
or groups
• Identify unit-specific caregivers by role, i.e., Charge
Nurse for 2 South
• Participate in COVID-19-specific notification groups
• Receive urgent mass notifications
